Teaching

When it comes to teaching, my approach is simple: you are going to learn a lot more if you enjoy it.

That’s why I make sure that my students are focused towards wherever they want to go on the drums. If it’s a particular genre, skill, or song you want to learn, I will cater our lessons to push you in that direction.

Of course there are skills on the kit that everyone needs to know to progress, and not everything you learn will seem necessarily interesting or important, but each lesson will be just as crucial as the last.

Whether you’re ready to step into the world of drumming, coming back after taking a break, or are just looking for some guidance, I will be here to help you along the journey we are all on to become the drummers we want to be.

 Session work

Session work, while something I am relatively new at, is something I have always wanted to do. Being apart of ‘Aeones’ has shown me that I enjoy pushing myself and my playing. Part of pushing yourself is restraint on the instrument. I believe I can bring restraint, as well as creative fluidity. Ultimately, it is up to you. How involved I get, how much of the part I write, what I play. It’s your choice.

Next time you need a session drummer; consider me. Send me an email and we can get going.

If you need an example, check ‘Aeones’ as well as my social media. That will be updated with the latest.

Aeones

Aeones is an instrumental progressive rock band. Being a founding member, I have been in this project since 2019. As the drummer, I write, record, and perform the drums in the band. This can be heard on our 2021 EP ‘Unnatural Shift’.

Being in Aeones has really pushed my drumming further than ever before. It has allowed me to hone my skills as a drummer and I have played pieces beyond what I thought I would ever be able to.

The music includes a lot of odd time sections, which truly pushes both the writing and playing aspect of drumming.
